Biden confirmed the 2025 US defense budget in the amount of 895 billion dollars

US President Joe Biden signed a law approving the defense budget for fiscal year 2025, the White House announced.

It is noted that the document makes allocations for the fiscal year 2025 mainly for the programs and military construction of the Ministry of Defense, the national security programs of the Ministry of Energy, the Intelligence and State Department programs, the increase of the basic salary of the military and other powers related to the US armed forces are defined.

On December 18, the Senate voted in favor of the adoption of the defense budget in the amount of 895 billion dollars with 85 "for", 14 "against" votes. And before that, the defense budget was also adopted in the House of Representatives with a ratio of 281 "for" and 140 "against" votes.

According to The Hill publication, the budget envisages the allocation of funds to strengthen the presence of the US military in the Indo-Pacific region, to produce new land equipment and aircraft, to build ships, as well as to increase the salaries of all employees of the US armed forces.
