"Hraparak" newspaper writes:
"The Public Services Regulatory Commission has been confident for a long time that they will soon discuss the issue of a new electricity price increase, and even the size of the tariff increase was known.
However, the president of PSC, Mesrop Mesropyan, who was elected on November 15, recently visited Nikol Pashinyan, returned and informed the PSC members that the latter told him that the price of electricity should not increase next year, there are elections ahead.
Seda Shahinyan, a member of the PSC, told us. "We do not have an application for tariff revision. Tariffs are revised not only on the basis of licensees' applications, but also on the initiative of the commission.".
And have there been such discussions recently? "These discussions always take place. If there was a decision to increase the price of electricity for next year, the public would know."
