Assistant to the President of Russia, Yuri Ushakov, said that on December 26, Russian President Vladimir Putin will participate in the session of the Eurasian Economic Council, which will take place in the Leningrad region.
He noted that the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan will lead the session, as this year Armenia is the chairman of EAEU.
Key issues of cooperation, including the formation of a common market for gas, oil and petroleum products will be discussed at the meeting. According to Ushakov, issues related to the implementation of the decree of December 2023 of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on the development of the methodology for calculating the norms for the distribution of import customs duties between the budgets of the member states of the Union will also be discussed in a narrow format.
Among the topics of the session in a narrow format are the discussion of the mechanisms and principles of the rotation of the members of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the budget, as well as the issue of the obligations of the Republic of Belarus in the field of agriculture.
