"No, it does not match," said Peskov, answering the corresponding question of journalists. Information was spread in the media that Assad's wife wants to divorce her husband and leave Russia.
It was also reported that there are allegedly restrictions on Asad's departure from Moscow. In addition, according to publications, Assad's assets have been frozen. Since the end of November, Syrian anti-government forces have captured several major cities of the country. On December 8, opposition representatives entered Damascus and announced on state television that they had established control over the country.
