Zurabishvili demanded to hold parliamentary elections in Georgia by December 29

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili demanded from the ruling Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia party to set a date for new parliamentary elections before the end of her presidential term, December 29, Zurabishvili announced this at a rally held near the president's residence on December 22. because he controls everything. And I am ready for us to sit down and decide how the elections will be called.

It's just that the term of the elections should be agreed before (ed.: December) twenty-ninth," TASS quoted Zurabishvili as saying. He also noted that he remains the supreme commander of the country.  Zurabishvili does not consider the elections held in Georgia at the end of October, as a result of which the ruling "Georgian Dream" party won, legitimate.

The term of office of Salome Zurabishvili as the President of Georgia expires on December 29, after which the inauguration of the newly elected President of Georgia, former football player Mikheil Ghavelashvili, will take place. Gavelashvili was elected president not as a result of direct voting, but by the decision of the electoral college. Earlier on December 22, Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze announced that Salome Zurabishvili should resign from her post on December 29.

Kobakhidze warned that if he does not voluntarily leave the presidential palace on that day, then he will be imprisoned.
