"He can't wait, he has to send a message to Canadians, tell them what happened and clearly state his intentions," said the parliamentarian in an interview with the publication.
Arsenault called on the Prime Minister to "put the interests of Canadians first" and to resign. The Globe and Mail's source said that the Liberal Party believes that in the event of Trudeau's resignation, a struggle for the leadership of the party will begin in early 2025.
