Will Avinyan take the hit of around 7.9 million, or will he "give away" to one of his employees?

A few days ago, during the debate between the current and former mayors of Yerevan, Hayk Marutyan mentioned that the cost of Tigran Avinyan's trip to the USA was 7.9 million drams.

Tigran Avinyan was allegedly surprised that he was not informed, but already today, December 23, during the session in the municipality, he announced that he also found out how much the ticket was purchased.

"I was shocked at the numbers myself, then I dug a little deeper and realized that I think there is a certain issue of general irresponsibility and indifference here, because the tickets for the November 22 visit were bought on November 20 and, frankly, if for example, if we had bought it one day late, we might have bought it twice or three times more expensive.

I want to inform you that I have made a decision to fully compensate this expense on my own, also preventing further issues," said Avinyan.

In fact, the mayor of Yerevan realized that there is a problem of irresponsibility, and that irresponsible person or persons who bought those tickets will go unpunished again.

Only Avinyan himself, who will lend that money from his own funds, will be "punished".

This is not the first case when, as a result of the negligence of statesmen, none of them is held accountable, and the behavior of the mayor and, in general, the municipality, is, to put it mildly, far from the logic of the authorities who declared themselves "revolutionary".
