The Government of Armenia has initiated the development of an updated version of the fundamental document of the country's spatial development strategy, the main resettlement project of the Republic of Armenia.
The draft was published on the unified platform of draft legal acts e-draft.
The project will be aimed at the balanced development of the territories, preservation of natural and historical-cultural heritage and sustainable economic growth.
Considering that the previous resettlement project was approved back in 2003, modern conditions require new strategic approaches.
The goal of the project is to ensure the sustainable development of settlements, the creation of a safe and healthy environment for the population and the optimal use of national resources.
The principles of transparency, balance and efficiency will be laid at the basis of the successive development of national and local level documents.
The project will promote socio-economic progress and fair distribution of territories. The project was developed by the RA Urban Planning Committee.
