North Korea may test a medium-range hypersonic ballistic or intercontinental ballistic missile by the end of 2024. This is reported by the Yonhap agency, referring to the report of the Committee of the Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Korea "On the Latest Actions of the DPRK Army".
According to the South Korean military, "a surprise launch of a medium-range hypersonic missile is possible before or after the end-of-year plenary session, taking into account political events inside and outside the country," including the inauguration.
A plenary session of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea is expected in the last ten days of December.
