The Turkish army killed 11 PKK militants in Northern Iraq

The Turkish army destroyed 11 militants of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK, banned in Turkey and recognized as a terrorist) in Northern Iraq.

"As a result of an air operation in northern Iraq, 11 PKK terrorists were killed," the Ministry of Defense of the republic said in a statement.

The conflict between Turkey and the PKK has been ongoing since 1984. Turkish authorities consider the PKK a threat to national security and regularly carry out attacks against its supporters in the country and operations in northern Syria and Iraq.
