China has created the "world's leading" arsenal of hypersonic weapons. Such a conclusion was made in the regular annual report of the US Department of Defense regarding the military strength of the PRC. The document was submitted to the US Congress.
"The PRC has the world's leading arsenal of hypersonic missiles and has advanced the development of both conventional and nuclear missile technologies over the past 20 years," the report said.
According to its authors, "China's hypersonic missile technology has advanced significantly over the past 20 years."
