Turkey and Lebanon will join forces to help Syria. Erdogan

Ankara and Beirut will work together to support Syria, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced at a joint press conference with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Wednesday.

"As two important neighbors of Syria, we agreed to act together with Lebanon. We intend to help Syria stand up again," Erdogan said.

According to Erdogan, "the stability of Syria means the stability of the entire region."

On December 8, the armed opposition in Syria announced that it had captured Damascus and was forming a transitional government.
