Greece supports Serbia's accession to the European Union, Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetitis announced today in the framework of the EU-Western Balkans summit in Brussels.
"Serbia's membership in the European Union is a geopolitical necessity," said Gerapetitis.
In 2019, Greece and Serbia raised their relations to a strategic level at the 3rd Council of the Commonwealth of Nations. "We expect to organize the next High Cooperation Council in the near future," Gerapetitis said.
Today, the ministers signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of cooperation.
