The legitimate president of Georgia is Salome Zurabishvili. EU politicians

European politicians criticized "Georgian Dream" in connection with electing Mikheil Khavelashvili to the post of president, reportedaliq.ge.

According to the chairman of the German Bundestag's foreign relations committee, Mikhail Roth, "the ruling party is deepening the division in Georgia, planning a coup and destroying liberal democracy. Roth emphasized that "the legitimate president of Georgia is Salome Zurabishvili."

"The 'election' of the new president of Georgia, Mikheil Kvavelashvili, is a 'gleichschaltung' (a term coined by fascists to describe the strengthening of the totalitarian regime in Germany-ed.) of all constitutional institutions in Georgia," Roth wrote in X.

Lithuanian member of the European Parliament Rasa Yuknevicene wrote that "Ivanishvili continues to be occupied by the state".

"Today, real elections did not take place in Georgia, what we witnessed was a farce, like in Russia, Belarus and other authoritarian states," the Lithuanian politician wrote.

he arrived in Georgia with six other deputies on December 11-13.

Yuknevicene added: "The only legitimate official in Georgia is President Zurabishvili, who was elected as a result of free elections."

Marko Mihkelson, the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Estonian Parliament, also sent a similar message. "The only legitimate president of Georgia is Salome Zurabishvili." French MEP Nathalie Lozo shared Mihkelson's post and noted:

"The Parliament of Georgia gathered today as a result of fake elections wants to elect a new president of the country, ultra-right and pro-Russian. when every day Georgians demonstrate their commitment to democracy and Europe.

My full support to Salome Zurabishvili, who embodies the aspirations of the Georgian people."
