Abbas discussed with Trump the agreement with Israel on the participation of Saudi Arabia

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas announced that he discussed with the newly elected US President Donald Trump the issue of establishing peace with Israel, with the participation of Saudi Arabia at the same time.

"Saudi Arabia, the United States, Egypt, Jordan and Qatar are interested in finding a solution. The Americans want Saudi Arabia to normalize relations with Israel, but Riyadh will not normalize relations with Israel until Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recognizes the state."

We talked with Trump on the phone for a long time, discussing the topic of ending the war and achieving peace with the participation of Saudi Arabia," he said in an interview with the Corriere della Sera newspaper.

According to him, the current president, Joe Biden, has allowed Netanyahu to do what he wants.

"The United States rejected the cease-fire resolutions three times, and while we supported the cease-fire regime, they continued to supply weapons to the Israeli army, resulting in up to 150,000 deaths and injuries, as well as the destruction of 80 percent of Gaza," Abbas said.
