A complex of facilities will be built for the deployment of the NATO brigade in Bulgaria

It is planned to build a complex of facilities for the multinational NATO brigade in Bulgaria. As "RIA Novosti" informs, Bulgarian Defense Minister Atanas Zapryanov announced this.

It is noted that the residential, educational and sports facilities will be located near the city of Yambol in the southeast of the country, in the Kabil military district.

The minister emphasized that any ammunition that will be used will be stored in warehouses outside the settlements and barracks. "It is not planned to store ammunition or other dangerous materials in the complex to be built," added the Bulgarian Defense Minister.

The NATO brigade will consist of three thousand soldiers. Bulgaria is currently negotiating with the NATO Logistics and Procurement Agency to determine the cost of the construction project.Almost three thousand signatures have been collected against the deployment of the NATO brigade near Yambol. The signature collection was initiated by the local "Left" coalition.
