He reminded that during the last federal elections of 2021, he was also considered to have no chance, but still managed to take the position of chancellor. "That's why I trust myself again," Sholtz emphasized. At the same time, Sholtz noted that the elections are the decision of the citizens.
"It is for this reason that I am now creating the possibility of extraordinary federal elections, which will be held not in September of next year, but in February," the chancellor explained, adding that at that time the people of Germany will have the opportunity to decide the country's future path.
