According to the publication, the purpose of the new decision is to reduce the dependence on imports from China, which threatens the stability of US supply chains.
"Tariff increases will stimulate investment in domestic manufacturing and promote local industry," the document, which was published in the Federal Register of US Government Official Documents, said. up to 25 percent.
These measures are aimed at protecting national security and will support strategic sectors such as the defense industry, automotive industry and energy.
