During the protests in Georgia, the use of various symbols was visually reminiscent of the Maidan in Ukraine. This was announced by the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili.
"They began to organize the scenario of the Maidan in direct analogy: bringing a coffin to the protest, decorating the Christmas tree and, among other things, only the last stage remained - opening fire from firearms, the effect of fire from fireworks was the same as we saw during the Maidan, which killed more than than 100 people," Papuashvili said.
