At its meeting today, December 12, the government exempted the limited liability company "EKO PAK" from the import duty within the framework of the investment program implemented in the priority sector.
The raw materials imported by this company are planned to be used for the production of construction material bags.
The production will be carried out in the city of Yerevan, RA. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to invest 33.4 million drams for the acquisition of capital and raw materials (including the cost of imported goods).
Currently, there are 17 jobs with an average monthly salary of 106 thousand drams. Within the framework of the investment program, in the period until the first half of 2025, it is planned to increase the number of jobs to 19 with an average monthly salary of 122 thousand drams.
The value of the goods submitted for the privilege is 16.8 million drams. The exemption from customs duty is estimated at 1.6 million drams.
According to another decision, NAER "HIWAYS" LLC was exempted from the import duty, whose investment project aims to develop the air cargo transportation sector, as well as cargo aviation. The company was founded in 2019. An investment of 5.4 billion drams has already been made.
Within the framework of the project, it is planned to invest 12.5 billion drams for the purchase of aircraft. Currently, there are 45 jobs with an average monthly salary of 850 thousand drams. As part of the investment program, it is planned to increase the number of jobs to 65 with an average monthly salary of 800,000 drams by 2027. The value of the products submitted for the concession is 12.5 billion drams.
The privilege of exemption from customs duty is estimated at 1.5 billion drams. According to another decision of the government, "TRANSFORMER FACTORY AMPER" CJSC was also exempted from customs duty, the raw materials imported by it are planned to be used for high voltage of up to 35 kilovolts and oil with a capacity of up to 25 kV, dry with a capacity of 2500 kV for the production of power transformers. Production to be carried out is in Kotayk marz of RA.
The company was founded in 2022. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to make a capital investment of 300 million drams and an investment of 11.7 billion drams for the purchase of raw materials. Currently, there are 55 jobs with an average monthly salary of 242 thousand drams. Within the framework of the investment program, it is planned to increase the number of jobs to 75 by 2027 with an average monthly salary of 313 thousand drams.
The value of the goods submitted for the privilege is 11.7 billion drams. The exemption from customs duty is estimated at 589.6 million drams. The government also exempted "KARAKERTI KARADZULMAN FACTORY" JSC from the import duty.
With the equipment imported by this company, it is planned to establish a rebar hot rolling production line for the production of rebars. The production will be carried out in the Armavir region of the Republic of Armenia. The company was founded in 1998.
Within the framework of the project, it is planned to invest about 4.2 billion drams, of which buildings and structures - 271 million drams, equipment - 2.1 billion drams, spare parts - 150 million drams, installation and operation - 283 million drams, pre-operational costs - 453 drams million drams, working capital - 1 billion drams.
Within the framework of the investment program, it is planned to create 24 new jobs with an average monthly salary of AMD 280,000 by 2029. The value of the goods submitted for obtaining the privilege is 1.16 billion drams.
The privilege of exemption from customs duty is estimated at 61 million drams.
