Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed the transition process in Syria and the steps to deliver humanitarian aid to the region with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres by phone, a diplomatic source in Ankara told "Ria Novosti".
"Today, Fidan had a telephone conversation with Guterres. During the conversation, the latest situation in Syria and the region was discussed. The parties exchanged ideas on the steps that the international community, especially the UN, can take to ensure the orderly implementation of the political transition in Syria, the delivery of humanitarian aid and the reconstruction of Syria," said the interlocutor of the agency.
