The Syrian embassy in the capital of Iran has suspended its activities against the background of the events taking place in Syria, it is reportedof RIA Novostithe reporter.
The Russian Foreign Ministry reported earlier that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, after negotiations with a number of participants in the Syrian conflict, decided to resign and leave Syria, ordering a peaceful transfer of power, while Russia did not participate in the negotiations.
Law enforcement forces are on duty near the embassy. Photographing and filming in the embassy is prohibited.
