American interests in Syria are very clear.
International scientist Suren Sargsyan writes about this and elaborates.
"If we do not delve into the details, we will see the following picture.
1. Involved and had a military presence in Syria, Russia, the US's main global competitor, withdrew from Syria.
2. Involved was Iran, the main US adversary, which also withdrew from Syria.
3. Assad also left Syria, which the Americans also considered a hostile regime.
4. Turkey, a strategic ally of the US (a bad ally, but an ally all the same) was involved in Syria. By the way, it was through the efforts of Russia, Iran and Turkey that the US influence was minimized in this conflict years ago.
5. Israel, the US's number one strategic ally, was involved and had a clear interest, which would be even more involved on Syrian soil.
In other words, at the moment, the most influential factors in Syria are US strategic allies Israel, Turkey (with all its proxies), as well as the Kurds, who are also considered US allies.
Of course, it's not like everything is under control, but global opponents are no more in this game and at this stage."
