The relations between Turkey and Syria must be settled, Russia will do everything to make it easier. This was announced by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the session of the Doha Forum.
"I have no doubt that the relations between Syria and Turkey should be settled, and Russia will do everything possible to help," he said. The head of Russian diplomacy noted that Turkey is a "very influential entity" in Syria.
According to him, during the negotiations, the topic of relations between Ankara and Damascus was discussed.
Earlier, the foreign ministers of the guarantor countries of the Astana format (Russia, Iran, Turkey) held talks against the background of the sharp escalation in Syria.
