The Prime Minister of Qatar considered the conflict in Gaza one of the reasons for the escalation in Syria

The conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip has become one of the reasons for the escalation of tensions in Syria, where government forces are resisting an onslaught by militants.

A similar opinion was expressed by the head of the government, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdel Rahman Al Thani.

"I think there are two factors when it comes to what is happening in Syria now.

The first one was really expected because of what was happening in Gaza and what we were actually trying to warn everyone in the world about is that this situation will worsen and have consequences for the entire region. We saw how the conflict in the Palestinian enclave is gradually expanding, whether in Lebanon or the Red Sea," he said at the Doha Forum.
