US President Joe Biden and the newly elected US leader Donald Trump had a telephone conversation last week. This was reported by the NBC TV channel on Friday, citing sources.
According to them, Trump called Biden to wish him a happy Thanksgiving, which was celebrated in the United States on November 28. Their conversation was short and not very meaningful, the interlocutors of the TV station noted.
Still, NBC said the call, as well as a previous meeting between Trump and Biden at the White House on Nov. 13, suggest the post-election transition this time around will be different from 2020.
Republican Trump will be inaugurated on January 20, 2025. Until this moment, Democrat Biden will continue to be the head of the state.
