"Without America, this war would not have happened, Ukraine would not have been able to resist for a long time," said the head of the Hungarian government.
He noted that a "critical situation" has arisen over Ukraine, as the outgoing Joe Biden administration seeks to provide it with the widest possible military support, and the incoming Trump administration is committed to resolving this conflict peacefully.
The dangerous statements of the current US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken about the need to lower the conscription age in Ukraine "show that America really needs to change its strategy", Orban believes.
The Prime Minister expressed his confidence that this will happen when Trump is inaugurated on January 20 and the power in the USA passes into the hands of the Republicans.
"At that time, I think everything will be settled, but until then everything will be the same. We are supporters of peace, but we are in a difficult and dangerous situation," concluded Orban.
