The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case after the death of NTV cameraman Valery Kozhin during the shelling of the city of Gorlovka in the internationally unrecognized Donetsk People's Republic. According to "Armenpress", NTV reports about this. The case was initiated under the articles of murder and obstructing the work of journalists. According to the Investigative Committee, Valery Kozhin and journalist Alexey Ivliev were filming a report when they were attacked by a Ukrainian drone. NTV journalist Alexey Ivliev, cameraman Valery Kozhin and their accompanying officer were injured in Golmovsky township on June 13. Along with them, according to the publication, the Russian soldiers, in whose positions the report was filmed, came under attack.
