Warsaw will comply with the ICC's arrest warrant for Netanyahu

Polish authorities will execute the arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he comes to the country. Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland Andrzej Sheyna informed about this to the PAP news agency.

"Poland respects and will implement the decisions of the International Criminal Court. The Prime Minister of Israel knows what to expect, I don't think that he would like to find himself in such a situation in any country that recognizes the Rome Statute and accepts the decisions of the ICC," said Sheyna.

The diplomat expressed such a position during the parliamentary survey on the issues of foreign relations of the Seimas collegium. He emphasized that Warsaw is obliged to cooperate with the ICC in the implementation of its decisions.

"Therefore, [in this case, the inviolability and immunity of the head of state, which are a common practice in interstate relations, are not applied," the diplomat explained.
