Swedish and French fighter jets conducted a training flight in the airspace of Finland. This is reported by the press service of the Finnish Air Force on the X social network.
"Finnish F/A-18 Hornet, Swedish JAS 39 Gripen and French Rafale fighter jets, as well as A330 MMU tankers, jointly approached the airspace," the report said.
Before this, military expert Alexander Stepanov announced that the Lightning Strike 24 exercises of Western countries in Finland symbolize NATO's readiness for combat operations with Russia.
He reminded that the NATO exercises will be held in Lapland, Finland, at the "Rovajärvi" military training ground, which is the largest in Northern Europe. The expert especially drew attention to the fact that these military exercises will take place only 100 kilometers from the border with the Russian Federation.
