The martial law is being lifted and people are returning to their daily lives. The domestic political situation and the security situation are not pleasant," said South Korea's National Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, quoted by the Korean TV channel.
The Minister of Defense indicated that he personally proposed to President Yoon Seok-yelu to declare martial law in the country. Kim Yeon-Hyun submitted his resignation. Earlier, Yonhap Agency reported that South Korea's leading opposition party initiated an impeachment against the minister.
