The Georgian Constitutional Court did not accept the president's claim about the unconstitutionality of the October 26 elections

The Constitutional Court of Georgia did not accept for consideration on the merits the claims of President Salome Zurabishvili and opposition politicians demanding that the parliamentary elections held on October 26 be declared unconstitutional. This is stated in the release of the authority.

“Constitutional claims No. 1848 (presidential claim - TASS note) and No. 1849 (opposition claim - TASS note) will not be accepted for consideration on the merits,” the statement says. “The verdict is final and cannot be appealed or revised.”
