France24: The EU is discussing sending troops to Ukraine to ensure a ceasefire

In Europe, they have begun to discuss the possibility of sending a contingent to Ukraine to ensure a ceasefire, France24 TV channel reports, citing two Western diplomats.
“Many countries have started to think very seriously about different possible scenarios and how we can contribute to guaranteeing Ukraine’s security,” said a European diplomat.

Earlier, former commander of NATO troops in Europe James Stavridis said that to resolve the Ukrainian conflict it is necessary to create a demilitarized zone and send UN forces there from Latin America and Africa.

The Wall Street Journal also wrote that the team of US President-elect Donald Trump is developing a new plan to end the conflict in Ukraine, which consists of freezing the front and establishing a demilitarized zone.
