Georgia remembers what Maidan led to in Ukraine, said American military analyst Scott Ritter in
social networkX. This is how he reacted to the news that Georgian special forces were dispersing activists protesting against the government’s decision to suspend the start of negotiations on the republic’s membership in the EU until 2028.
“Imagine where Ukraine would be today if Yanukovych had done this to the Maidan protesters at the very beginning instead of allowing them to gain a foothold,” Ritter wrote. According to the expert, the country's ruling Georgian Dream party has well learned the lessons of Ukraine's recent history.
