US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mark Libby has resigned. This is reported by AzeriAPA:agency.
"It is with great sadness that I announce my retirement from the United States Foreign Service. The health problems I mentioned at the US Senate hearings in 2023 unfortunately continue. The latest test results indicate that it is time to return home and fully focus on your own health.
Therefore, at the end of this extremely busy but extremely successful calendar year, 2024, I will be retiring. I intend to spend the remaining few weeks in Azerbaijan to welcome 2025," US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mark Libby said in a statement.
