Helsingin Sanomat: There is a new cable break between Sweden and Finland

A new break in the telecommunications cable occurred between Sweden and Finland. This was reported by the newspaper Helsingin Sanomat.
According to her, we are talking about an Internet cable. The cliff occurred on land in Finland last night.

Finnish police suspect that the break occurred intentionally, which the Swedish authorities have been informed about, the publication clarifies. Helsingin Sanomat notes that in Finland there was an extensive failure in the network of the fiber optic company Global Connect, but it is not yet clear whether it is a consequence of a cable break. According to information on the Global Connect website, these are “isolated outages” in the company’s fiber optic networks, which are associated with damage to communications in two locations.
