Defense forces of Georgia received NATO standard armored personnel carriers from Turkey

Based on the contract signed with the Turkish side, the Georgian defense forces received armored personnel carriers of new NATO standards (VURAN). The ceremony of handing over the all-terrain armored vehicles took place in the square of the 4th infantry brigade of Vaziani. The general director of the ASFAT company under the Ministry of National Defense of Turkey came to Georgia to participate in the event. VURAN armored vehicles meet NATO standards in terms of equipment and subsystems. The press service of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia noted that the addition of these armored vehicles to the Georgian defense forces will make a significant contribution to strengthening Georgia's defense capabilities and deepening cooperation between Turkey and Georgia.
