Hungarian intelligence services began an investigation after receiving a warning from Slovakia about the threat of a terrorist attack on the Hungarian section of the Druzhba oil pipeline, the Magyar Nemzet newspaper
writes, citing sources. The Hungarian Counter-Terrorism Center is currently determining the necessary measures for additional security of the Druzhba oil pipeline.
At the same time, according to the publication, Slovakia’s warning did not come as a surprise to Hungary. On December 1, the Druzhba oil pipeline was damaged in Poland, resulting in a fuel leak. The Polish operator of the damaged Druzhba oil pipeline did not rule out sabotage.
