Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Sunday called on Islamic states to support the settlement of the situation in Syria, IRNA reports.
The president emphasized that Iran does not want military operations and does not want to review the borders with its neighbors. In addition, he recalled the successes of diplomacy in Iran's relations with other countries of the region.
"For example, for the first time, all the countries of the region condemned Israel's aggression against Iran, and I praise our neighbors for their correct position," Pezeshkian said, referring to Israel's attacks on Iran on October 26.
Anti-government forces launched an offensive in Idlib and Aleppo provinces this week, quickly taking control of a number of settlements. The rebel command claims to control, in particular, a large part of the city of Aleppo, including the central districts. The city airport is closed.
