US sanctions against the leadership of Georgia are offensive. Kobakhidze

The US sanctions against the leadership of Georgia are offensive and do not correspond to the spirit of partnership between the two countries, stated Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze. He expressed hope that the American side will review its policy. According to Kobakhidze, it is in Georgia's interest to deepen the relations with the USA and the European Union as much as possible. He noted that he expects mutual steps from both the American and European partners. Earlier, the head of the press service of the US State Department, Matthew Miller, announced that the US imposes visa sanctions on dozens of Georgian citizens, including members of the government and parliament, and regarding their relatives, as well as law enforcement officers, in connection with the law on "Transparency of Foreign Influence" adopted in the country.
