Iranian Foreign Minister to visit Middle East countries


The official representative of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ismail Baghai, said that the head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Seyed Abbas Araqchi, will soon travel to the countries of the Middle East to discuss with the authorities of these countries the changes taking place in the region; on Sunday he will visit Syria, then Turkey.

Earlier, the Syrian Ministry of Defense stated that the government army entered into battle with terrorists who attacked the provinces of Aleppo and Idlib. Violating the de-escalation agreement, groups in the provinces of Aleppo and Idlib attacked villages, settlements and military positions. According to the SAR military department, the army responded to the attack, and as a result, the terrorists suffered losses in manpower and equipment.

"Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Baghai said that our country's Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi will soon travel to a number of countries in the region for consultations on regional issues, in particular on recent changes (in the region)," a statement posted on the official website reads. According to Baghai, on Sunday Araqchi will head to Damascus, after which to Ankara. An armed conflict has been ongoing in Syria since 2011.
