As a result of the events unfolding in the city of Aleppo, Syria, there are no Armenians among the victims, and the situation is currently pending.
Zarmik Poghikyan, editor of the Armenian weekly "Gandzasar" operating in Aleppo, said this in a conversation with "Armenpress", referring to the situation created after the invasion of Aleppo by anti-government armed groups.
"There are no Armenians among the victims. The opposition parties are in the city. For now, it is a state of waiting, there are no clashes", Zarmik Poghikyan said.
It was reported earlier that militants of the Syrian radical Sunni group "Hayat Tahrir al-Sham" and their allies captured at least half of the territory of the city of Aleppo during a quick attack, and the Syrian government troops left the city almost without resistance.
