Lukashenko: the absence of Armenia at the CSTO summit characterizes the organization

The absence of Armenia at the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) summit in Astana also characterizes the association itself. This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA reports. “It characterizes the current geopolitical situation in the region and, to some extent, our organization,” the Belarusian leader said.

Lukashenko commented on the need to speak first at the CSTO summit due to the absence of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the event. He indicated that if the Armenian delegation arrived in Astana, it would speak first in alphabetical order. Earlier, Lukashenko accused the Armenian leadership of the events around Nagorno-Karabakh. He stated that he warned the country's authorities to give the territories to Azerbaijan.
