Staff at the Kamal Adwan Medical Complex in the northern Gaza Strip appealed to the international community to send at least one ambulance for besieged patients and hospital staff.
In a statement published by the Ministry of Health of the Palestinian enclave, it is noted that "the staff and patients of the hospital are under siege by the Israeli army for 50 days."
"We are asking for surgeons, medical supplies and at least one ambulance to be sent to the north of the Gaza Strip, as well as fuel and food," hospital officials said.
In addition, the appeal reports that more than 20 seriously injured patients are in the intensive care unit at Kamal Advan, and the hospital's emergency department and emergency room were destroyed by IDF bombing.
"The hospital yard, electricity generators, oxygen plant, water supply network, water tanks and all infrastructures have also been affected, and the work is becoming more and more dangerous," the doctors said, calling on the international community, the World Health Organization and other international institutions to ensure the protection of the hospital and its employees.
