US President Joe Biden thanked Azerbaijan for the successful organization of COP29.
"I congratulate the parties and the President of COP29 for achieving this important result. While significant work remains to be done to meet the climate goals, today's success is a significant step in the right direction.
On behalf of the American people and future generations, we have an obligation to accelerate our efforts to ensure a cleaner, safer, and healthier planet," President Biden said in a statement.
He toonoted, that COP29 was a platform for reaching another historic consensus.
"During the conference, the countries agreed on the ambitious goal of international financing of climate initiatives until 2035. This will mobilize the vital financial resources from all possible sources that developing countries need to accelerate the transition to green and sustainable economies," said President Biden.
