Turkey has introduced an additional 40 percent duty on the import of cars from China

Turkey has made a decision to introduce an additional duty of 40 percent for cars imported from China. This was stated in the decision of the country's president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which was published in the country's official gazette on Saturday. The additional duty was set at $7,000 per car. The decision will come into force on July 7. The decision states that if the 40 percent duty is less than $7,000, a minimum duty of $7,000 will be charged. Turkey introduced additional duties for electric cars imported from China and set a bunch of rules related to the technical maintenance of electric cars.
