"The Russian side warned the Americans about the launch of Oreshnik through the Russian National Center for Nuclear Risk Reduction, which operates automatically and maintains constant communication with a similar system in the United States of America," Peskov said.
"The warning was sent automatically 30 minutes before the start," said Peskov.
The representative of the Kremlin explained that the Russian side did not inform the American side about the launch of the Oreshnik in accordance with the agreements and the notification regime about the launch of intercontinental ballistic missiles, because the Oreshnik is not an intercontinental strategic missile.
"This is a medium-range weapon," said the press secretary of the head of the Russian Federation.
