Half of the Airbus planes stopped flying

As of mid-November of this year, Russian air carriers have suspended the flights of 34 of the 66 Airbus A320neo and A321peo aircraft in their fleet, Kommersant reported.

This is due to complications with the maintenance of American Pratt & Whitney engines due to the sanctions imposed by Russia for the war unleashed against Ukraine.

According to the newspaper, S7 is in the most difficult situation: 31 out of 39 A320/A321peo between 3 and 7 years old are parked.
