The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, saved the passenger of Swiss Air flight LX780 from Zurich to Brussels. This is reportedBild:referring to one of the passengers.

"We were returning to Brussels when one of the passengers needed help, as always, the crew asked those with medical knowledge to respond," von der Leyen said.

It is noted that the plane made an emergency landing at the Brussels airport, where the injured was met by doctors. According to eyewitnesses, the rest of the passengers remained on the plane, while Von der Leyen was assisted by doctors.

Von der Leyen received his medical degree from Hanover Medical School, where he received his doctorate in 1991. He noted that it is a duty for doctors to help in such situations. The publication also clarifies that it is not the first time that he has helped passengers during a flight.
