Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan introduced newly appointed Minister Arpine Sargsyan to the staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Nikol Pashinyan thanked Vahe Ghazaryan for his work and contribution to the position of Minister of Internal Affairs.
"I must record that Mr. Ghazaryan's role in the initiation and successful course of the Police reforms is undeniable. As a matter of fact, he, being a long-time Police officer, made a very direct and great contribution to the process of the Police reforms and later also to the formation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
I should also note that Mr. Ghazaryan's tenure coincided with a very difficult period. he was appointed as Chief of Police during the covid pandemic, then the war period, the complex situations and situation that followed.
And the work he has done during this period is of course highly appreciated," the Prime Minister said. In general, the Police and the Ministry of Internal Affairs were able to maintain the rule of law in Armenia during this difficult period time, a very extensive reform process has taken place.
In fact, during the existence of our republic, the biggest investments have been made in the system of the Police, the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
And I thank Mr. Ghazaryan for leading all these works," the Prime Minister concluded his speech. Next, Nikol Pashinyan introduced the newly appointed Minister of Internal Affairs, Arpine Sargsyan.
According to the Prime Minister, Arpine Sargsyan also made a significant contribution to the formation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. "While he was still the Deputy Minister of Justice, he had a great contribution and participation in the substantive work of the reforms from the very first day of the formation of the Ministry the position of deputy minister, and during this period, of course, he was one of the active participants in this process, a person who, in fact, completely owns to the content," said the head of the country and expressed his belief that Arpine Sargsyan has become his own in the system during this time.
Nikol Pashinyan wished success on the occasion of assuming this responsible position and expressed hope that the Police, the Rescue Service, other units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be involved in the reform process at the same pace and enthusiasm "I want to congratulate Mrs. Sargsyan for being appointed to this position and thank the entire staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, my for being unconditionally dedicated to serving the Republic of Armenia during the years of office," Vahe Ghazaryan said.
Arpine Sargsyan also thanked the Prime Minister for his high trust and noted that the experience she has in the system and the results of the massive work carried out under the leadership of Vahe Ghazaryan will allow to work effectively and record new achievements in the field of internal security for the benefit of the Republic of Armenia, maintaining the principles adopted by the Government and that the spirit behind the principles.
